During the Kashmiri Pandit Genocide, Hindu women were especially targeted by militants. They were victims of kidnapping, sexual violence, and murder. Militants identified them through their use of the bindi, a felted dot that sits between the eyebrows. Teki batin is the term used by militants to signal a Kashmiri-Hindu woman. This piece is composed of bindis in varying sizes, placed in the shape of a target. This piece draws attention to the significant void of information on crimes committed against Kashmiri Pandit women.
